Hello, my dear Trendsists. It's the most wonderful time, and craziest time, of the year!! With the holidays right around the corner, we are here to help you make those holiday sales and assist your customers in finding the perfect gifts for their loved ones!!
Not only do I want to share with you all the adorable and cozy Christmas jammies and sweaters we have in store for you and your customers, but I'd also like to shed light on a proven method that can brighten up the dim situation of extended shipping times. That method is known as preorders!!
Preorders and Shipping Expectancy
Why preorders, you may ask? Customer expectations. Typically when a customer places an order, most people expect their package to arrive within 3-5 business days, no matter where they are ordering from. We've all been spoiled by Amazon Prime for so long.
In the case of a preorder, customers are already aware of the expected wait time before receiving their package. The customer may even receive their order earlier than the preorder delivery date, which is a pleasant yet unexpected surprise! So, be sure when you are planning your preorder dates to leave enough time to cover a delay if anything were to happen. Our recommendation is around 15 business days.
Although all of Trendsi's listings include expected shipping time, you are easily able to update this information after adding a listing by editing the description. In the description, you will want to include that the item is 'Preorder' along with an expected delivery date or shipping time frame. By updating this in your description, your customers will be more accepting of a longer delivery expectancy and even happier if they receive the item early.
The other benefit to marking items as a preorder in the description? The order process will still remain the same!!!
We know this does not resolve any shipping issues long-term, but for a short-term solution, we have already seen this method work for many of our sellers and hope it works for you as well!!
